This course is based on NFPA 1021 "Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications" and may lead to a ProBoard certification. The Tennessee Fire Officer 1 course identifies the requirements necessary to perform the duties of a first line supervisor. This course introduces the student to the basic concepts of management and supervision by concentration on such topics as: organizational structure, communication skills, human resource management, public relations, planning, emergency service delivery and safety.
This course is based on NFPA 1021 "Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications" and may lead to a ProBoard certification. The Tennessee Fire Officer 2 course is designed for the fire officer who is ready to assume more of a leadership role by moving into the middle management level of his/her department. This course expands on the knowledge base attained in Fire Officer I by revisiting some of the same subjects and adding additional material including management, government structure, and departmental budget planning and management.
This course is based on NFPA 1021 "Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications" and may lead to a ProBoard certification. The Tennessee Fire Officer 3 course is specialized for the chief officer who is ready to advance into the upper management level of his/her department. This course consists of subjects designed to give the officer more knowledge of management and administration so that he/she can make basic evaluations of employee relations and assume a more proactive role in his/her department. This is a project-based class.
This course is based on NFPA 1521, "Standard for Fire Department Safety Officer", and may lead to a ProBoard certification. The Tennessee Fire Department Incident Safety Officer course is intended for the member within a fire department or emergency service organization who performs the functions of an incident safety officer or who serves as an assistant to the incident safety officer.
The Tennessee Fire Inspector course offered by Ricky Rescue Training Academy is based on the NFPA 1031 "Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner". The course covers topics related to fire service inspections such as Code Enforcement, Building Construction, Decorative Materials and Furnishings, Fire Alarm and Communications, Fire Drills and Inspection Procedure. The Tennessee Fire Inspector course is principally intended for anyone wanting to move into fire service inspections and would be particularly useful for company level officers and city inspectors. Completion of the course may lead to ProBoard certification.
The Tennessee Fire Investigator 1 course offered by Ricky Rescue Training Academy is based on the NFPA 1033, "Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Investigator" curriculum. Topics covered by this online fire investigator course include Burn Patterns, Court Procedure and Testifying, Determining the Point of Origin, Evidence Collection and Analysis, and Interviewing Techniques. Itfs especially recommended for those wanting to learn more about determining the causes and origins of fires ie company-level officers, police officers and fire investigators. Completion of the course may lead to ProBoard certification.
The Ricky Rescue Training Academy Tennessee Fire Instructor 1 course is based on the NFPA 1041, "Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications" curriculum. The course is specifically designed to allow participants to develop the knowledge and ability required for the role of a Tennessee Fire Instructor 1. Candidates will learn how to use prepared lesson plans to deliver instructions effectively, including the use of instructional aids and evaluation instruments. They will also learn how to adapt lesson plans to meet the unique requirements of the students and the responsible jurisdiction; how to optimize the learning experience by organizing the learning environment; and how to ensure compliance with the record-keeping requirements of the responsible jurisdiction. Successful completion of the Fire Instructor 1 course may lead to a ProBoard certification.
The Ricky Rescue Training Academy Tennessee Fire Instructor 2 course is based on the NFPA 1041, "Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications" curriculum. Successful completion may lead to a ProBoard certification. The Fire Instructor II course is the next step for those who hold Fire Instructor 1 certification and want to advance their careers in this field. This course teaches candidates how to supervise and co-ordinate other instructors; and how to develop individual lesson plans relating to a particular topic taking into consideration instructional aids, learning objectives and available evaluation instruments. Candidates also learn how to work with the training plan of the relevant jurisdiction with respect to scheduling training sessions.
