Fire Officer 1,2 and 3 for Tennessee Firefighters
Fire Officers are responsible for providing leadership, communication, organization and administration. They are required to have a good understanding of the principles of effective leadership. This includes knowledge of group dynamics and how this affects group performance. They have the ability to positively motivate and inspire through their leadership. They are familiar with management theories and with administration and organization principles as they relate to the fire department.
At Ricky Rescue Training Academy we offer Tennessee Firefighting Commission approved online, open enrollment courses for the roles of Fire Officer 1, 2 and 3. These courses all comply with TFC pre-certification requirements. Successful completion of the course work qualifies students to take the relevant Fire Officer tests run by the Tennessee Fire And Codes Academy.
Tennessee Fire Department Fire Inspectors
The role of fire inspector is critical when it comes to safety and prevention. The fire inspector is the person tasked with the responsibility of ensuring, and enforcing as required, fire code compliancy. Fire inspectors are often involved in the development of fire exit plans, execution of fire drills and general fire safety inspections. They are trained to correctly inspect fire systems such as sprinkler systems and fire alarms, and identify potential issues. Fire inspectors may also be trained to identify hazardous materials and have a good knowledge of building construction in relation to fire safety. They’re also often involved in gathering evidence at fire scenes, reporting and testifying in court. A fire inspector also requires impartial ethics, an eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
The TFC approved online Fire Inspector courses offered by Ricky Rescue ensure students have a thorough grounding in the responsibilities of the Fire Inspector. The courses use the NFPA 1031 "Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner" curriculum.
